We Work Across the Lifespan
When working with children, we offer specific support to parents whenever it is needed. We specialize in working with children who have social anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and selective mutism.
Adolescents & Young Adults
Adolescence is a challenging time in the best of circumstances! It can be absolutely disorienting to both parent and adolescent. It is a time of big feelings, but without corresponding strategies or brain development with which to manage these feelings. For these reasons, adolescents tend to respond very well when they have a trusted person they can talk to outside of the family system. We love working with this age group, as it is a time of much psychological growth. Similarly, young adulthood brings about a number of new challenges. We work with many individuals in their late teens throughout their twenties. Several of our therapists are uniquely trained to work with individuals in this phase of emerging adulthood. We work with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, emotion dysregulation, suicidality, interpersonal stress with parents or friends, loneliness, feelings of disconnection and isolation, family and more.
Adulthood & Relationships
Adulthood brings new challenges. New stressors (careers, relationships, medical challenges, parenting, etc) can exacerbate painful thoughts, overwhelming emotions, difficult memories, and anxiety. Many individuals can manage intense emotions when when life remains predictable and stable, but when stress accumulates, coping strategies that once worked may no longer be enough. We work with adults who are struggling in an infinite number of ways, and carefully match the needs of the individual to the therapist with relevant expertise. We work with individuals early in adulthood who are struggling with identity, career, and relationship uncertainties, and individuals in later adulthood who may be re-evaluating what they want out of life and their relationships. We work with individuals who are facing end of life issues and terminal diagnoses. We offer relationship support for individuals in strained relationships– no matter what those relationships are– couples, sisters, friends, and more. You don’t have to go through life alone.
